Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Conviction collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data. Last updated: 9/18/2026.

What we collect

To save your decisions, Conviction asks for your email address. We use it only to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account — there is no password to store.

Each decision you save is stored in your account: the ticker and company, the price at the time of your decision, your answers, your notes, your sell criteria, the resulting score and recommendation, and the date it was created.

If you save a decision before you have ever signed in, it is held against the email address you gave and moved into your account the first time you confirm that address with a one-time code. Until then it is not readable in the app.

How your decisions are stored

Your saved decisions are held in our secure cloud database (hosted by Supabase within the EU) and are linked to your account. Access rules on the database ensure that only you, while signed in, can read or write your own decisions. If you saved decisions in this browser before creating an account, they are moved into your account the first time you sign in.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to show your history and results back to you and to let you sign in. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.

We do not send marketing emails. We only email you the one-time codes needed to sign in.

Third-party services

We rely on Supabase for database and authentication, and Resend for sending sign-in emails from admin.mycognitivecapital.com. Ticker autocomplete and current price information may be fetched from a market-data provider; no personally identifiable information is sent alongside ticker lookups.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts. We only store what is needed to keep you signed in on this device.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy — no longer. Your decisions and email address are retained while your account exists, so that your history remains available whenever you sign in. When you delete your account, or ask us to delete your data, everything associated with it is removed without undue delay. Sign-in codes are single-use and expire within minutes; they are not kept afterwards.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, its correction, or the deletion of your account and all saved decisions at any time by contacting us at the address below, and we will action it promptly — and in any case within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
